Mary Berglind RN, BSN is the Clinic Administrator for Northwest Vein & Aesthetic Center. She has been deeply involved in the Healthcare Communities in Kitsap County and throughout the Olympic Peninsula for over 20 years. With a background in nursing paired with considerable management and strategic leadership experience, she has brought a wide range of skills to the organizations she has served. Her experience spans multiple disciplines within the health care continuum. She has worked in leadership roles with cardiology clinics, outpatient infusion companies, skilled nursing facilities, and case management companies. Mary’s passion is achieving healthcare quality and excellence. Utilizing a relationship-based approach, her empowering leadership style centers on staff engagement, mentoring and accountability. She successfully leads teams to deliver desired results by inspiring individual staff members to reach their highest potential in pursuit of the organization’s common goals. She continues to live in Kitsap County and is an active participant in various community organization along with her husband, Jon.
Janis Ritala is the Billing Coordinator at Northwest Vein & Aesthetic Center. She is responsible for all aspects of patient billing and claims. Janis has many years’ experience working in the medical field. She first started out as a receptionist and worked her way up to become an expert in medical coding and billing. She is adept at keeping up with insurance companies’ ever changing regulations, but working with patients is a highlight of Janis’s job. Whether it be in person or on the phone, Janis enjoys supporting patients and helping them understand their insurance coverage options.
Cheryl Roark is the Vein Center Coordinator and Patient Care Coordinator. She has over 37 years’ experience in patient care and has been with Northwest Vein & Aesthetic Center since 2004. During this time, Cheryl has worked in marketing, authorizations, scheduling, patient care and staff support. Cheryl’s wish is for every patient to experience the exceptional care offered at Northwest Vein & Aesthetic Center. Outside of the office, Cheryl enjoys spending time with her family, including 4 grandchildren and 3 grand dogs. They have fun camping, boating, riding bikes, laughing and enjoying life.
Matt Parkin is the Insurance Coordinator at Northwest Vein & Aesthetic Center. He works with insurance companies to obtain surgery pre-approvals and ensure all criteria is met prior to being treated. He brings 7+ years in health insurance experience to our team and is an expert in finding the correct information from insurers. Navigating the complex and varying insurance requirements behind the scene is his goal with every patient, but he is more than happy to help any patient who needs it.
Suzy has been a Surgical Technologist for over 12 years. She began her career working for Franciscan Healthcare and then went on to Cosmetic Surgery for nine years. Continuing to explore other specialties, led her to a position in orthopedic surgery. She discovered she was missing more of the interactive process with patients which brought her to Northwest Vein & Aesthetics in April of 2017. Customer service and helping patients feel safe during procedures is just part of her nature. In her spare time she loves to spend time with her family, including her first grandchild!
Erin Morris is a Certified Surgical Technologist at Northwest Vein and Aesthetic Center. Erin joined the NW Vein team immediately following completion of her education at Clover Park Tech in 2013. She is eager to learn something new at any given opportunity and keeps the back office running smoothly. Erin finds it enjoyable to get to work with patients from all walks of life and considers herself lucky to have coworkers that she can also call friends. When she isn’t at work, you can find Erin spending time exploring the outdoors with her husband or playing with her two cats.
Kristy Keeves has been an LPN for 15 years, she graduated from Bates Technical College. She has been dedicated to working in the Assisted Living setting, working as a LPN and then Health Services Director. Playing a key role in that arena by achieving outstanding quality in 2 deficiency free surveys 2 years in a row. She has expanded her nursing focus to outpatient clinic care by joining the team at Northwest Vein & Aesthetic Center. In her free time she enjoys cooking, traveling and being outdoors, and an avid animal lover. She is the mother of identical twin daughters, 4 cats and one Russian tortoise.
Christina Ancich is the Aesthetic Coordinator at Northwest Vein & Aesthetic Center. She is a 3rd generation native of Gig Harbor and has lived there all her life. Christina attended Renon’s Cosmetology School in Seattle and worked as a cosmetologist for over 10 years. She was always interested in the medical field as well and this led her to enroll in medical classes at Tacoma Community College. Christina is now able to combine her love for Aesthetics and Medicine in her role at Northwest Vein & Aesthetic Center. Seeing post-treatment results and improvements in the everyday life of her clients brings Christina great joy. Outside of work, Christina loves spending time with her husband, two amazing boys and great friends. Family and friends are very important to Chris and she feels blessed that they make her smile and laugh every day.
Johnna Gerontis is a licensed Master Aesthetician and laser technician at Northwest Vein & Aesthetic Center. She provides services ranging from spa facials, waxing, chemical peels, hydra facials, laser hair removal, photo facials, laser vein treatments and more. A friend introduced her to the world of aesthetics while she was attending Pacific Lutheran University. She was amazed by how the treatment and product regimen helped clear her skin while adding a relaxing, therapeutic element. Johnna left PLU to pursue her passion for aesthetics, graduating in 2003 from Clover Park Technical Institute. In 2010, Johnna was certified by Barb Powers at Cutera for laser certification and has since received further advanced continuing education. Johnna loves finding creative ways to help clients meet their skin care needs. She has great listening skills, and clients often ask jokingly how much they owe for the therapy session in addition to the skin treatment. Her aesthetic skills, respect for client privacy and confidentiality puts them at ease. Some of Johnna’s outside interests include cooking, spending time with family and friends, kayaking, cross fit, paddle boarding, travel and life coaching.
Taylor Schoendorf is a CoolSculpting Treatment Specialist. She graduated from Eastern Washington University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration and Marketing. Taylor has a comprehensive background in the medical field, ranging from social work to admissions and marketing. Knowing she has always wanted to help others, it was an easy decision for her to get into the medical field and making the transition to CoolSculpting was seamless. Taylor finds great fulfillment in continued learning, and expanding her scope of knowledge and training, and advancing her professional development. Taylor enjoys spending her free time with her husband and their two dogs, traveling and going on adventures in the Olympic Mountains
Jordan Christiaens is the Lead Technical Director at Northwest Vascular Diagnostics and a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT). She received a Bachelor’s Degree in Vascular Technology from the Oregon Institute of Technology in Klamath Falls, Oregon. She further completed an externship at Alameda County Medical Center in Oakland, California. Jordan joined Cascade Vascular in 2008 then was part of the original team when Northwest Vein & Aesthetic Center first opened. She has a passion for diagnostic vascular ultrasound and a specific interest in venous disease. In her free time, Jordan enjoys spending time with her family and being outdoors
Ashley is a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT). She first became interested in ultrasound during childhood after watching an obstetric ultrasound. She went on to earn a Bachelor’s Degree from the Oregon Institute of Technology in 2006 and complete an internship at the Cleveland Clinic. The aspect of her work that Ashley finds most rewarding is being able to follow patients through their treatment and witness improvements in their venous disease. In her free time, Ashley enjoys exploring the outdoors with her husband and three young children.
Alery Broderius is a Registered Vascular Technologist. She received a degree in Vascular Technology from Spokane Community College in Spokane, WA and completed an externship at Kadlec Vascular Surgery Clinic in Richland, WA. Alery enjoys getting to know her patients and following up with them over the course of their treatments. She has a special interest in continuing her education and gaining knowledge about vascular disease in order to provide the best possible care for her patients. In her free time, Alery enjoys visiting family and spending time outdoors with her husband and 2 dogs.
